Lainate - The town of Lainate

Lainate has a population of 23.308 abitanti (Lainatesi) and a surface of 12,8 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 1820,94 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 176 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Lainate had a popolation of 21.320 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 23.308 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 9,32% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 8.142 families with an average of 2,86 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 163 and 184 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 21 metres.

Work and workers:There are 588 industrial firms employing 6.250 people that are the 53,91% of the total of the workers. There are 423 service firms employing 2.487 people that are the 3,65% of the total of the workers. There are also 507 firms employing 2.279 people that are the 21,45% of the total of the workers. There are also 70 administrative offices emplying 533 workers that are the 4,37% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 11.593 workers, that are the 49,74% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
