Cologno Monzese - The town of Cologno Monzese

Cologno Monzese has a population of 47.295 abitanti (Colognesi) and a surface of 8,4 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 5630,36 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 131 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Cologno Monzese had a popolation of 51.343 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 47.295 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of -7,88% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 18.176 families with an average of 2,60 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 130 and 142 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 12 metres.

Work and workers:There are 1.051 industrial firms employing 7.180 people that are the 43,48% of the total of the workers. There are 800 service firms employing 3.416 people that are the 4,84% of the total of the workers. There are also 1.113 firms employing 4.696 people that are the 20,69% of the total of the workers. There are also 107 administrative offices emplying 1.316 workers that are the 6,74% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 16.512 workers, that are the 34,91% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
