Cambiago - The town of Cambiago

Cambiago has a population of 4.852 abitanti (Cambiaghesi) and a surface of 7,3 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 664,66 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 158 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Cambiago had a popolation of 3.821 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 4.852 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 26,98% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 1.618 families with an average of 3,00 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 148 and 180 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 32 metres.

Work and workers:There are 179 industrial firms employing 1.539 people that are the 62,38% of the total of the workers. There are 87 service firms employing 469 people that are the 3,53% of the total of the workers. There are also 100 firms employing 340 people that are the 19,01% of the total of the workers. There are also 19 administrative offices emplying 138 workers that are the 4,05% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 2.467 workers, that are the 50,85% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
